Items of Interest from the UH Library Council Meeting, August 11, 2006
The following items were discussed at the UH Library Council Meeting on Friday, August 11, 2006 and may be of interest to some.
1.) Due to renovation, KapCC will not be doing intra system loans this semester.
2.) I reported that Mookini Library will also not be doing intra system loans this semester.
3.) Progress is being made on the Library Management System request and UH Library Council has agreed upon sending a memorandum to Bob S at Manoa with three specific charges to pursue.
4.) The Annual UH Library Council statistics must be completed in September 2006 and sent to Paula no later than early October.
5.) Very little interest was expressed in the Wilson databases. A few of the community college libraries will work with the Hawaii State Library Consortia to see what pricing options would be available.
