Learning Center Make-Up Testing
The HawCC Learning Center has moved back to its original location on the first floor. {Edited: Scheduled to open September 5.}
Effective Fall 2008, make-up testing will be done by appointment only on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Students will need to call or stop by the Center to schedule an appointment 24 hours in advance.
Make-up testing will commence on September 22, 2008.
PROCEDURES FOR MAKE-UP TESTING:
1) Instructors must bring in the exam to The Learning Center when notified by a student that they want to take a make-up test. Each exam must have a GOLDENROD cover sheet attached and completely filled out by the instructor with any special instructions. Please be clear as to the amount of time allowed, materials allowed, and last day to proctor.
2) Instructors MUST provide each student with a WHITE testing slip. Students MUST have this white slip and a PICTURE I.D. before they will be allowed to take the test.
3) If a student is suspected of cheating, the student will be confronted and the materials used will be taken. The student’s actions will be noted on the cover sheet of the test. Although The Learning Center takes every precaution to supervise test taking, there are times when the Center is extremely busy and strict monitoring cannot be assured. Please keep this in mind when using the Center for testing.
4) Our services are limited to make-up testing only. Regular test cannot be administered at The Learning Center. Because of our limited budget, we cannot extend our assistance to include special services such as test administration at times other than by appointment. Instructors must also provide their own paper for essay tests.
5) Instructors may pick-up and sign for completed tests during regular Center hours which are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. If students do not take the test by the due date, the tests will be returned to the instructors.
6) Revised make-up test cover sheets and make-up test slips can be picked up at The Learning Center.

Writing Placement Exam
The next Writing Placement Exam is scheduled for Saturday, October 4. The exam will take place in UCB 100 from 9:00 a. m. to 11:00 a.m.
